International Open Access Week 2015 is taking place on October 19-25. The week is intended to give researchers the chance to learn about the potential benefits of open access. Open access to research offers many benefits for the general public, but also to researchers in terms of finding people to collaborate and getting access to data that could help improve their own research. It has the potential to transform the way that scientific inquiry takes place but also helps researchers receive the recognition they deserve.
